- 14 cup sugar
- 2 large firm-ripe pears
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
Directions

1In a large skillet, combine sugar and 4 teaspoons water.

2Cook ver low heat until sugar melts and turns a light amber color, about 5 minutes.

3Meanwhile, cut the pears lenghwise and scoop out cores.

4Slice each half into 6 slices.

5Place in a medium bowl and toss with 1 tablespoon lemon juice.

6Remove skillet from heat.

7Add remaining lemon juice to caramelized sugar and quickly stir until mixture is smooth.

8Add pears and juices in bowl to skillet.

9Return to medium heat.

10Cook, stirring gently, until pears are softened and lightly glazed 2-3 minutes.

11Serve warm.
