- 2 c. sugar
- 2 c. Karo light syrup
- dash of salt
- 1/2 c. real butter (1 stick)
- 2 c. half and half cream
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Combine sugar, syrup and salt in a heavy pan.

2Heat to boiling and cook to firm ball stage (242°).

3In another pan, heat the butter and cream slightly.

4Then add to sugar and syrup, stirring to keep from scorching.

5Continue cooking and stirring constantly until mixture returns to firm ball stage.

6Remove from heat; add flavoring and mix well.

7Pour into 9-inch buttered pan. Cool.

8(I cool overnight.)

9Remove from pan; cut into squares.

10Wrap in wax paper squares that you have already cut in 3-inch squares.
