- 1 can condensed sweetened milk
- 1 lb. brown sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Use a heavy 3-quart saucepan and a long wooden spoon.

2Melt butter.

3Add sugar, milk and salt.

4Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly.

5Bring to a full boil and cook 12 to 15 minutes to firm ball stage.

6Remove from heat and blend in vanilla.

7Pour into a buttered 9 x 9-inch pan.

8Cut into squares when firm.
