- dash of salt
- 2 c. light corn syrup
- 1/2 c. oleo
- 2 c. evaporated milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. nuts
Directions

1Put sugar, salt and corn syrup into a large pan; bring to a boil and boil to firm ball stage, 245°, stirring occasionally. Gradually add milk and butter slowly, so that the mixture does not stop boiling at any time.

2Continue to cook rapidly, stirring constantly to medium ball stage, 242°.

3Remove from heat; add vanilla and nuts.

4Stir well.
