- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 2 cups sifted flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3 teaspoons cardamom, ground
Directions

1In a large bowl of an electric mixer cream butter and sugar together until llight.

2Add egg, beating until thick. Stir in cream.

3In a seperate bowl sift together dry ingredients (flour - salt) and then add the cardamom to sifted ingredients.

4Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing until stiff dough forms.

5Chill dough.

6Shape chilled dough into balls (1 inch) and arrange on lightly greased baking sheet.

7Bake at 375 degrees F for 10-12 minutes or until golden.
