  • 2 c. flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 c. sour cream
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 Tbsp. water
  • shortening

Directions

    Sift flour; stir in salt and beaten eggs.

    Gradually stir in the sour cream and let stand 2 hours.

    Stir in melted butter and the baking soda, dissolved in the tablespoon of water.

    Drop batter from a teaspoon into hot, deep fat at 380° and fry until golden. Drain on paper towel.
