- 2 cups flour
- 2 cups quick oatmeal
- 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup melted butter
- 1 (14 ounce) package Kraft caramels
- 1/3 cup milk
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Directions

1Melt the butter.

2Mix together the flour, oats, sugar, baking soda and salt with the melted butter, using an electric mixer.

3Press 3 cups of the mixture in a greased 9x13 pan.

4Bake at 350 for 10 minutes.

5Meanwhile, melt the caramels in the milk, either in the microwave or over low heat. Stirring often.

6Remove the hot crust from the oven and sprinkle with chocolate chips.

7Drizzle caramel mixture over this.

8Sprinkle remainder of crumbs on top and press in slightly.

9Bake 15 minutes more at 350. Do not over bake.

10Let cool for 20 minutes, then CUT WHILE WARM (this is very important!).

11Store in a tightly closed container.
