- 3 sticks butter or margarine
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 6 eggs
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. baking powder
- 3 c. flour
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- dash of nutmeg
Directions

1Cream together the butter and cream cheese.

2Beat in sugar with mixer on low.

3Sift into another bowl the flour, salt, baking powder and nutmeg.

4Beat two of the eggs into cream cheese mixture alternately with 1/3 of dry ingredients.

5Continue same until all eggs and dried ingredients are used.

6Beat thoroughly, adding vanilla.

7Blend well.

8Pour into waxed paper lined tube pan.

9Bake at 300° for 1 1/2 hours.
