- 2 doz. pears
- 4 c. sugar
- 2 c. water
- 4 c. vinegar
- 2 sticks cinnamon
- 2 Tbsp. whole allspice
- 2 Tbsp. whole cloves
Directions

1Quarter and core pears.

2Boil 20 minutes in clear water.

3Boil sugar, water, vinegar and spices (tied in bag) for 10 minutes. Add pears and let stand overnight.

4Cook pears until tender and put into hot jars.

5Cook syrup until thick.

6Pour over pears and seal jars.
