  • 1 1/2 to 2 c. sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 3 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. each: nutmeg and mace
  • 2 c. grated raw carrots
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts
