- 1 1/2 c. Crisco oil
- 2 c. sugar
- 4 whole eggs, unbeaten
- 2 c. flour
- 3 large carrots, grated
- 3 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 tsp. cloves
- pinch of salt
- 2 tsp. baking powder
Directions

1Mix oil and sugar, beat well.

2Add eggs.

3Sift flour and spices with baking soda and salt.

4Add to sugar mixture.

5Add carrots, a little at a time, and mix.

6Bake in a greased and floured tube pan at 350° for 60 to 70 minutes until center is done.
