  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 1/2 c. Wesson oil
  • 1 tsp. cloves
  • 3 c. raw carrots, peeled and grated
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 2 c. flour (plain)
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 c. chopped nuts

Directions

    Cream sugar and oil.

    Add eggs, one at a time. Sift flour, soda, nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves and salt together.

    Add a little at a time to cream mixture, blending in.

    Then blend in carrots and nuts.

    Makes 4 or 5 layers. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
