Carrot Pretzel Sticks

Ingredients

  • 60 grams Grated carrots
  • 100 grams Cake flour
  • 3 tsp Grated cheese
  • 1 and 1/2 tablespoon Vegetable oil (or butter)
  • 1 dash Salt and pepper
  • 1 dash Krazy salt (as a substitute for the above)

Directions

    Put the cake flour, grated cheese, salt and pepper in a bowl and mix well with a whisk.

    Add the grated carrot and vegetable oil (butter), and knead it with your palms.

    It looks dry first but it will form easily as you knead it like this picture.

    Put this in the plastic bag and roll 2 mm thick with a rolling pin.

    Rest in the fridge for about 15 minute then move them to the freezer for about 5 minutes to cut them more easily.

    They should be about 10-15 cm long and 2-3 mm thick.

    Line the baking tray with parchment paper and place the sticks on it.

    Bake in a toaster oven for about 10 minutes until they turn crispy.

    If they start scorching, cover with an aluminium foil and adjust the temperature.

    (The ends scorch easily.)

    If you use an oven, bake at 200C for about 20 minutes.

    Please adjust the time and temperature according on your own oven.

    These are potato pretzel sticks which I recently made.

    It was easier to cut into thin pieces compared to the carrot sticks.
