Ingredients
- 1 lb. carrots, peeled and cubed
- 1 lb. potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 1/2 c. onion
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 6 c. chicken broth
- 1/2 tsp. thyme
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 c. heavy cream
- 1 c. milk
- 1/8 tsp. Tabasco
- 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire
- 1/2 tsp. sugar
Directions

1Saute onion in butter in large pot.

2Add carrots, potatoes and broth and boil.

3Add spices and simmer 1/2 hour, covered.

4Mash, then puree in blender.

5Return to pot and add milk, cream and seasonings; mix.

6Simmer about 1/2 hour and serve.
