- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 tablespoon butter or 1 tablespoon margarine
- 1 lb carrot
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon fresh dill or 1 teaspoon dried dill
- salt
- 1 cup half-and-half
Directions

1In 3L saucepan, cook onion in butter 5 minutes or until onion is tender.

2Add carrots,broth and dill; cook over medium heat 15-28 minutes or until carrots are very tender.

3Put carrots, broth, dill and salt into blender container.

4Cover and process until smooth.

5Return mixture to saucepan; stir in half and half.

6Gently heat; do not let soup boil.
