- 6 medium carrots, cut in large matchsticks
- salt water
- 1/4 cup butter
- 2 medium onions, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 cup water
- 2 teaspoons chicken bouillon powder
- 1/2 teaspoon granulated sugar
Directions

1Cook carrots in salted water until tender.

2Drain.

3Meanwhile, melt butter in frying pan.

4Add onion.

5Saute until onion is soft and clear.

6Mix in flour.

7Stir in water, bouillon powder and sugar until it boils and thickens.

8Add carrots.

9This may be kept hot or reheated in the oven.
