Cashew Casserole

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. oil
  • 1 c. finely chopped celery
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 (2 oz.) can mushrooms
  • 1 can mushroom soup
  • 1/2 c. milk and mushroom liquid
  • 1 c. cashew nuts, chopped coarsely
  • 1 small can chow mein noodles
  • 1/2 tsp. Accent

Directions

    Saute celery, onion and mushrooms in oil for a few minutes; do not brown.

    Add liquid to mushroom soup and stir smooth.

    Add this with the remaining ingredients to sauteed mixture.

    Combine.

    Bake casserole at 350° for 20 minutes.

    Mixture will thicken as it stands.

    Serves 6 to 8.
