Savory Cheddar Crackers

Ingredients

  • 1 stick Butter, Softened
  • 1- 1/2 ounce, weight Cream Cheese, Softened
  • 1/4 cups Grated Sharp Cheddar Cheese
  • 1 Tablespoon Sun-dried Tomatoes In Oil, Patted Dry And Minced
  • 1 teaspoon Crushed Dried Basil
  • 1/2 teaspoons Garlic Powder, Or To Taste
  • 1/2 teaspoons Salt, Or To Taste
  • 1 cup Flour

    In a mixing bowl, cream together all of the ingredients except the flour.

    Stir in flour with a wooden spoon until a soft dough forms.

    Shape dough into a flattened disk; wrap and refrigerate for 1-1/2 hours.

    Preheat oven to 350F.

    After its well chilled, set out dough to soften slightly.

    Roll out until its about 1/4 thick on a lightly floured surface and cut into cracker shapes.

    (I used a fish-shaped cookie cutter to simulate gourmet goldfish.

    Bake 10 to 12 minutes, or until lightly browned.

    Transfer to wire racks; cool completely.
