  • 2/3 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon light corn syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3 cups crisp corn cereal squares
  • 1 cup lightly salted cashews

    Line 2 baking sheets with waxed paper.

    Melt butter in 3-quart saucepan 2-3 minutes over low heat, stirring constantly.

    Stir in brown sugar and corn syrup.

    Increase heat to medium.

    Cook, stirring constantly, 1-2 minutes or until mixture comes to a full boil.
