- 15 lb. catfish
- 3 (No. 2) cans tomatoes
- 15 lb. potatoes
- 10 lb. red onions
- 3 large, hot peppers
- black pepper and salt to taste
- 1/2 c. shortening
Directions

1Cook fish until well done; drain water off of fish.

2Set aside to cool.

3Peel and cut potatoes, onions and peppers.

4Put tomatoes in blender and blend well.

5Cook peppers, onions, potatoes and tomatoes until well done.

6Take fish off bone.

7Add to soup mixture.

8Add black pepper, salt and shortening.

9Heat until this comes to a boil, stirring occasionally.

10Reduce heat; simmer until blended.

11Serves 25 to 30.
