Celery Casserole

  • 4 c. (1-inch thick) celery pieces
  • 1 (10 3/4 oz.) can cream of chicken soup, undiluted
  • 1/4 c. pimientos, diced
  • 1/2 c. fresh bread crumbs
  • 1/4 c. slivered almonds
  • 2 Tbsp. margarine, melted

Directions

    Cook celery in a small amount of boiling salted water, about 8 minutes. Drain. Combine celery, soup and pimiento; spoon into a lightly greased 1-quart casserole.

    Sprinkle bread crumbs and almonds over celery mixture.

    Drizzle margarine over top. Bake at 350° for 35 minutes.
