- 3 c. cooked rice (not Minute type)
- 1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 1 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 1/2 onion, diced
- 1 c. parboiled carrots, diced
- salt and pepper
Directions

1Saute onion in oil until golden.

2Stir in rice.

3Heat through and add remaining ingredients.

4For a creamy effect, break an egg over the rice and mix it well into the rice.

5The Japanese add any vegetable or cooked meat to Cha-Han, as they are available. Serves 4 to 5.
