- 1/2 c. warm water
- 2 pkg. dry yeast
- 1 1/2 c. lukewarm milk, scalded then cooled
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 3 eggs
- 1/4 c. butter, softened
- 7 1/4 to 7 1/2 c. flour
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in warm water.

2Stir in milk, sugar, salt, eggs, shortening and 1/2 of the flour into yeast.

3Mix until smooth.

4Add enough flour to handle easily.

5Turn onto floured board; knead and let rise in greased bowl until doubled.

6Punch down and separate into 3 equal parts.

7Divide each of the three parts into three more parts.
