- 1 tsp. cumin
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 can chili beans
- 3 Tbsp. shortening
- 12 corn tortillas
- shredded lettuce
- 3/4 lb. Cheddar cheese
- 3 fresh tomatoes, diced
- bottled taco sauce
Directions

1Heat lightly greased skillet.

2Add ground beef or turkey and onion.

3Cook until meat is browned.

4Drain off grease.

5Add seasonings and mix thoroughly.

6Blend in beans and their liquid. Cover and simmer for about 30 minutes.

7Heat shortening in a skillet.

8Fry tortillas for 1 minute on each side.

9Drain on absorbent paper.

10You may wrap tortillas in foil and heat in oven until warm.
