- 4 strips bacon, cubed
- 2 onions, chopped fine
- 1 small can tomato paste
- 1 1/2 to 2 cans water
- 3 tsp. salt
- 2 to 3 tsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 2 c. raw rice
- 8 Tbsp. bacon grease (optional)
Directions

1Fry bacon, remove from pan.

2Saute onions in grease.

3Add tomato paste, water, salt, sugar and pepper.

4Cook uncovered slowly (about 10 minutes) until it measures about 2 cups.

5Pour into the top of a rice steamer with the rice.

6Add extra bacon grease if desired.
