  • 2 c. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese (1/2 lb.)
  • 1 1/4 c. flour
  • 1 stick butter, softened
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
  • cayenne pepper to taste (1/4 tsp.; can add more)

Directions

    Combine ingredients and knead into log shape.

    Wrap and chill; cut into 1/4-inch slices.

    Bake in a 350° oven for 10 minutes or until brown or really set (firm).
