- 1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour (unsifted)
- 1 1/2 c. yellow corn meal
- 1 Tbsp. baking powder
- 1 c. (4 oz.) Cheddar cheese, shredded
- 4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1 c. milk
- 1/2 c. honey
- 1/2 c. Crisco, melted
- 2 eggs
Directions

1Preheat oven to 425°.

2Combine flour with cornmeal, baking powder, cheese and bacon.

3Combine remaining ingredients in separated bowl; beat well.

4Add liquid ingredients to dry ingredients.

5Stir just until flour is moistened.

6Spoon into greased muffin cups, filling about 2/3 full or well-greased and heated heavy cornstick pan, filling almost full.

7Bake muffins at 400° for 15 to 20 minutes and corn sticks at 425° for 8 to 10 minutes.
