- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 4 oz. Cheddar cheese, shredded (about 1 c.)
- 2 Tbsp. finely chopped fresh parsley
- 1 Tbsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. ground black pepper
- 1/4 c. butter or margarine
- 3/4 c. milk
Directions

1Preheat oven to 400°.

2In bowl, combine flour, cheese, parsley, baking powder, salt and pepper.

3With pastry blender or knife, cut in butter until mixture forms coarse crumbs.

4Stir in milk.

5Quickly mix until mixture forms soft ball.

6Transfer dough to lightly floured surface.

7Knead slightly to combine thoroughly. Roll or pat dough to 1/2-inch thick.

8Cut biscuits and place on ungreased cookie sheet.

9Bake 12 to 15 minutes or until golden. Makes 1 1/2 dozen biscuits.
