Cheddar Spinach Spread

  • 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened
  • 2 Tbsp. onion, chopped
  • 5 strips bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 2 oz. sliced, canned mushrooms, chopped
  • 1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
  • parsley to taste
  • seasoned pepper to taste
  • 1/8 tsp. minced garlic
  • salt to taste
  • 1/16 tsp. paprika
  • 1/2 lb. fresh spinach
  • 1/4 lb. black olives

Directions

    Saute onions and spinach in bacon grease until tender.

    Chop spinach.

    Mix all ingredients together and refrigerate overnight to blend flavors.

    Heat 30 to 45 minutes (in a small casserole dish) in 350° oven.

    Garnish with black olives and a spinach leaf.

    Serve with Swiss cheese crackers.
