  • 1 lb. cheese
  • 3/4 c. Crisco
  • 4 c. sifted flour
  • 1/2 tsp. soda
  • cayenne pepper (dash)

Directions

    Grate cheese; cream and add Crisco.

    Mix well; add dry ingredients to flour and mix by sifting well.

    Roll dough very thin; cut in small biscuits.

    Bake slowly to a light brown, or until done, not too brown, 325° for 25 minutes.

    It makes about 125 biscuits.
