- 1/2 lb. New York sharp Cheddar cheese
- 2 sticks butter, softened
- 3 c. white all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- dash of red pepper
Directions

1Mix grated cheese and butter with your hands until smooth.

2Add flour gradually.

3Test one to be sure they have enough flour. Chill if too soft.

4Roll dough out to 1/4-inch thick and cut into small biscuits.

5Put on ungreased cookie sheet.

6Top each biscuit with a pecan half or piece.

7Bake at 350° for about 12 minutes or until done.

8Do not brown.

9Makes 2 dozen.
