- 2 c. flour
- 1 Tbsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 c. grated cheese
- 1/3 c. shortening
- 7/8 c. milk
Directions

1Sift dry ingredients; add cheese.

2Cut in shortening.

3Add milk and stir to form soft dough.

4Knead lightly on floured board. Roll to about 1/4 to 1/3-inch thick.

5Cut with biscuit cutter or a tomato sauce can with both ends removed (8 ounces).

6Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 450° for 12 to 15 minutes or lightly brown.

7Makes about 18.
