- 4 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 pkg. active dry yeast
- 1 1/2 c. shredded American or Swiss cheese
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 egg
- salt
Directions

1In a large mixer bowl, combine 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour and 1 package active dry yeast.

2Heat 1 1/2 cups shredded American or Swiss cheese, 1 1/4 cups water, 1/4 cup sugar and 1 1/2 teaspoons salt just until warm (115° to 120°), stirring constantly.

3Add to flour mixture; add 1 egg.

4Beat at low speed of electric mixer for 1/2 minute, scraping bowl.

5Beat 3 minutes at high speed.

6Stir in as much of 2 to 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour as you can mix in with a spoon.
