Cheese Breakfast Casserole

Ingredients

  • sliced sourdough French bread
  • margarine
  • 2 lb. thick-sliced bacon
  • 2 lb. Monterey Jack cheese
  • 2 lb. sharp Cheddar cheese
  • 4 c. milk
  • 10 eggs
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • dash of pepper
  • dash of Tabasco sauce

Directions

    Remove crusts from bread slices.

    Butter both sides with margarine and line bottom of 10 x 14-inch casserole.

    Brown bacon and crumble over top of bread layer.

    Grate cheeses and mix together.

    Sprinkle cheeses lightly over bacon layer in casserole (do not press down).

    Beat together eggs, salt, pepper, Tabasco sauce and milk.

    Carefully pour over cheeses in casserole. Refrigerate overnight.
