Ingredients
- 1 loaf white bread (Arnold)
- 1 lb. sharp Cheddar, grated
- 3 c. milk
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 3 Tbsp. minced onion
- 4 eggs
- 1 tsp. dry mustard
- salt and pepper
Directions

1Cut bread slices into 4 squares.

2Fit 1/3 of bread tightly in bottom of greased 2-quart casserole.

3Sprinkle with salt and pepper, 1/3 of onion and 1/3 of cheese.

4Press down, repeat instructions twice.

5Beat eggs, add mustard, Worcestershire sauce and milk.

6Mix well.

7Pour over casserole contents, cover and chill overnight.

8Remove from refrigerator 2 hours before serving and drizzle with melted butter.

9One hour before serving, bake in a preheated 325° oven for 40 to 50 minutes or until firm in center.

10(If you double this recipe, use only 5 cups milk.) Serves 8.
