- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 Tbsp. baking powder
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 c. margarine
- 1/2 c. shredded reduced-fat sharp Cheddar cheese
- 1/4 c. chopped fresh chives
- 1 c. skim milk
- 1 Tbsp. margarine, melted
- 2 tsp. water
Directions

1Combine first 3 ingredients; cut in 1/4 cup margarine with a pastry blender until mixture is crumbly.

2Stir in cheese and chives.

3Add milk gradually, stirring just until moistened.

4Shape into a ball.

5Roll dough to 3/4-inch thickness on a floured surface.

6Cut with a 2 1/2-inch round cutter; place on an ungreased baking sheet.

7Combine melted margarine and water; brush over tops of biscuits.

8Bake at 450° for 12 minutes or until golden brown.
