  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 3 c. flour
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 c. sour cream
  • 2 tsp. orange flavoring
  • 3 tsp. coconut flavoring

    Cream butter and shortening.

    Gradually add sugar, creaming well.

    Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

    Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with sour cream; continue beating.

    Turn into a greased and floured tube cake pan; bake at 325° for 55 minutes, or until done.
