- 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 2 c. milk
- 1 (13 3/4 oz.) can (1 3/4 c.) chicken broth (not condensed)
- 1/4 c. finely diced carrots
- 1/4 c. finely diced celery
- dash of each: salt and paprika
- 1/2 c. cubed sharp process American cheese
Directions

1Cook onion in butter until tender.

2Blend in flour.

3Add remaining ingredients, except cheese.

4Cook and stir until thick and bubbly.

5Reduce heat.

6Add cheese; stir to melt.

7Simmer for 15 minutes.
