- 4 eggs, well beaten
- 2/3 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 1/3 c. milk, scalded
- 1 c. whipping cream (not whipped)
- 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

1Mix all ingredients together and pour into a 9-inch crust. Bake at 400° for 25 to 30 minutes.

2Center should be a bit shaky when you take the custard out.

3Put on rack to cool.

4The center will set as it cools.
