Ingredients
- 1 (1 oz.) cake yeast or 2 pkg. dry
- 1/4 c. scalded coffee cream or half and half, cooled to lukewarm
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 c. butter (2 sticks)
- 2 1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. baking powder
- 4 egg yolks, slightly beaten
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in cream; add sugar.

2Set aside to ferment. Cut butter into the flour, salt and baking powder; same as for pie crust.

3Add egg yolks and the yeast mixture.

4Mix thoroughly.

5Add more flour, if necessary to make a soft dough.

6Divide dough into 2 parts.

7Roll one part to cover the bottom and sides of a 9 x 13 x 2-inch pan.
