- 1 c. yellow cornmeal
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 4 Tbsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 4 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 lb. grated or finely shredded very sharp Cheddar cheese
- 3 eggs
- 1 1/2 c. milk
- 1/4 lb. margarine, melted
- 1/2 tsp. butter flavoring
Directions

1Sift dry ingredients and toss in grated cheese.

2Beat eggs until mixed and stir in milk.

3Add to dry ingredients.

4Stir in melted margarine and butter flavoring.

5Bake in greased pan at 425° for about 25 minutes or until brown.
