- 4 1/2 c. water
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 c. quick grits
- 1 c. grated cheddar cheese
- 1 tsp. tabasco sauce
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 egg
Directions

1Bring water and salt to a boil.

2Add 1 cup quick grits and cook for 10 minutes with a rolling boil.

3Add cheese, tabasco and garlic powder.

4In a bowl, beat an egg with a fork.

5Blend 1/2 cup of the cheese grits with egg and add to the hot mixture.

6Stir thoroughly. Pour into rectangular Pyrex dish.

7Bake 30 to 45 minutes until top is lightly browned.

8Let set until cool.
