  • 4 ounces sharp cheddar cheese, grated to yield 1 cup
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 14 teaspoon salt
  • 14 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1 tablespoon onion juice
  • 12 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon dry vermouth
  • 1 teaspoon gin

Directions

    Put cheese in bowl and warm to room temperature.

    Mix with mayo and all other ingredients until well blended.

    Chill until ready to serve.

    Can serve as a spread, or spread on crackers and toast under broiler until cheese bubbles.
