  • 5 pieces bread, buttered on both sides
  • 1/2 lb. Swiss cheese
  • 4 eggs, well beaten
  • 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
  • dash of pepper
  • 1/2 lb. Cheddar cheese
  • 2 c. milk
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 can mushrooms

Directions

    Place bread in a 9 x 13-inch pan.

    Grate the cheeses; mix together and sprinkle on bread.

    Mix together the eggs, milk, dry mustard, salt and pepper.

    Beat well.

    Pour over cheese.

    Sprinkle mushrooms over top.

    Cover and refrigerate overnight.

    Remove from refrigerator 1 hour before baking.

    Bake at 350° for 1 hour.
