- 9 slices cubed bread, remove crusts
- 1/4 lb. melted butter
- 3/4 lb. grated cheese (mild Cheddar)
- 1/2 tsp. red pepper
- 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3 egg yolks
- 2 c. milk
Directions

1Remove crusts from 9 slices of bread and soak in 1/4 pound melted butter.

2Add 3/4 pound grated cheese.

3Add 1/2 teaspoon pepper, 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard, 3 egg yolks and 2 cups of milk. Beat 3 egg whites and mold into mixture.

4Pour into buttered baking dish and refrigerate overnight or at least 12 hours.

5Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes.
