- 2 egg whites, stiffly beaten
- 3 oz. cream cheese
- 1/4 lb. very sharp cheese (New York sharp Cheddar)
- 1/4 lb. butter
- 1 loaf unsliced bread (large loaf)
Directions

1Remove crusts and slice bread into 1-inch cubes.

2Melt cheese and butter in top of double boiler.

3Stir vigorously after melted. Remove from heat and fold in egg whites.

4Spear bread cubes with a 2 pronged fork or long wooden pick and dip mixture.

5Shake gently to remove excess.

6Chill overnight or freeze on cookie sheet.

7Defrost if frozen for 30 minutes.

8Put in 400° preheated oven.

9Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.
