- 1/4 c. butter or margarine
- 1/4 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 2 c. milk
- 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
- 1 c. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese (about 4 oz.)
Directions

1In saucepan, melt butter over low heat.

2Blend flour, salt and pepper.

3Cook over low heat, stirring until mixture is smooth and bubbly.

4Remove from heat.

5Stir in milk.

6Heat to boiling, stirring constantly.

7Boil and stir 1 minute.

8Stir in mustard and cheese; heat over low heat until cheese is melted.
