- 1 tablespoon Land O Lakes Butter
- 2 large (1/4 cup) shallots, finely chopped*
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup Land O Lakes Butter, softened
- 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded provolone cheese
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh parsley
- 1 teaspoon country-style Dijon mustard, if desired
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup sliced almonds
- Fresh rosemary sprigs, if desired
- Assorted crackers
Directions

1Melt 1 tablespoon butter in 10-inch skillet until sizzling; add shallots and sugar.

2Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, 6-8 minutes or until shallots are browned and caramelized.

3Immediately remove from heat.

4Cool 10 minutes.

5Combine shallot mixture and all remaining spread ingredients in bowl.

6Beat at medium speed until creamy.

7Cover; refrigerate 1 hour.

8Shape cheese mixture on waxed paper into pine cone shape.

9Place onto serving plate.

10Insert sliced almonds at an angle to resemble pine cone.

11Cover; refrigerate 2 hours or overnight to blend flavors.

12Garnish with rosemary sprigs just before serving, if desired.
