- 5 slices white bread
- 1/2 lb. cheese
- 3 eggs
- 2 c. milk
- 1 tsp. dry mustard (I use what I have)
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- dash of cayenne
Directions

1Cut crust from bread; butter.

2Cut slices into 12 or 16 cubes. Line bottom of greased casserole dish with the bread.

3Sprinkle with cheese, alternating bread and cheese until all is used, ending with layer of cheese on top.

4Beat eggs and combine with milk and seasoning.

5Pour over bread and cheese.

6Let stand 3 hours, but preferably overnight.

7Cook next morning, uncovered, for breakfast. Cook for 45 minutes at 350°.
