- 1 lb. sharp Cheddar cheese, grated
- 1 stick butter
- 1 egg
- 1 Tbsp. cold water
- 1 3/4 c. sifted all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
- 1/2 tsp. paprika
Directions

1Cream the butter and cheese until soft. Add egg and water; beat

2well.

3Sift flour, salt, cayenne and paprika together; add in 3 additions. Beat well after each addition.

4Chill dough 10 minutes.

5Pack into Wear-Ever cookie gun.

6Using saw-toothed (spritz) cookie disc, make long strips lengthwise on ungreased cookie sheet.

7Bake 18 to 20 minutes at 350°.

8Cut into 3-inch strips.

9Yields 8 dozen 3-inch straws when dial is set on thick.
